Hi all! I made a cute set of floral nails to match my Liz Lisa phone wallpaper, haha~

Nail Polishes and Materials Used:

  • Base Pink – KIT Playas de Arena
  • Light Pink – OPI Pinking of You
  • Dark Pink – KIT First Kiss
  • Light Green – Etude House #CGR701
  • Dark Green – Essie Sew Psyched
  • Top Coat – Seche Vite
  • Gold chain beads and gold studs

First, I used a dotting tool to put down some big splotches of Pinking of You. Then I used a smaller dotting tool to outline the rose petals using First Kiss. To paint the leaves, I used a Warhammer model painting brush to make a teardrop shape with CGR701. Lastly, I used a mini dotting tool to add shading to the leaves with Sew Psyched. And voila~ vintage rose nails! Then I stuck some gold studs and chain on for extra decoration.

This set is available on my Etsy store. Thanks for reading!

Nail of the Day: Candy Coloured, 80s/90s Inspired Printed Nails

Hi all! If you read my previous post, you’ll know I’m currently trying to  heal and grow my natural nails. So I’ll be showing off lots of press-ons for the next few weeks while my poor fingers recover from years of abuse, haha~

Anyway, today I was doing some spring cleaning this weekend, and I found loads of old 80s/90s clothes that I haven’t seen in ages! Lots of bright prints, neons, pastels, and bold lines (and horrifying denim pantsuits, but I won’t get into that). So I decided to make some cute colourful nails inspired by that era, with a bit of a modern edge.

Nail Polishes and Materials Used:

  • PinkOPI Pinking of You
  • Blue – Etude House #CBL601
  • Pastel Yellow – Etude House #CBE101
  • Purple – China Glaze Sweet Hook
  • Turquoise – China Glaze For Audrey
  • Bright Yellow – Essence Mellow Yellow
  • White – Sally Hansen White On

I used a fine paintbrush to draw the prints, and outlined them using a calligraphy pen and black India ink. Of course I managed to spill the ink all over the table and it got underneath my fingernails. Now I look like a coal miner, hurray…

This set will be available on my etsy store shortly! And as always, thank you for reading!

Nail of the Day: Candy-Coloured Leopard Print Stiletto Nails

Hello everyone! Just wanted to show off a cute stiletto nail set I made this weekend.

Nail Polishes and Materials Used:

  • Pink – Innisfree #116
  • Blue – Etude House #CBL601
  • Purple – China Glaze Sweet Hook
  • Yellow – Etude House #CBE101

(Oops! You can still see the nail glue…)

At first, I really hated stiletto nails. I thought they looked tacky and silly. But then they started to grow on me…and now I just adore them! They’re edgy and chic. Of course, they’re completely impractical for day-to-day tasks at this length. I tried to type this post with the nails on and hit about 4 different keys at once, haha ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ And so far my office job has been tolerant of my wilder manicures (neon stripes, gradients, glitter, you name it!) but I’m not sure if I could show up wearing inch-long stiletto nails.

Anyway, this set is also available on my etsy store!

31 Day Challenge: Day 25 (Inspired by Fashion)

Nail Polishes and Materials Used:

  • Red – Pandora’s Polish Citrus Playful
  • Black india ink

I was inspired by this amazing dress by Alexander McQueen.

Seriously, that pattern is so creative and beautiful! The dress is absolutely stunning. It’s my favourite McQueen design…it’s really too bad he’s gone. I always looked forward to seeing his designs.

I can’t really do justice to such an intricate pattern, but I’m really proud of how these nails came out! That bird took forever to draw, lol.

31 Day Challenge: Day 13 (Animal Print)

Sigh…I’m going to spend all day in the lab looking at stinky cadavers. So, here are some cute, pink nails to cheer me up!

Today’s challenge is Animal Print. My favourite! I think I’m permanently stuck in 1995 or something.  I love anything with neon leopard print on it.

As you can see, they look 10 shades of goofy on my fingers since they’re so huge. Haha!

Nail Polishes Used:

  • Essence Absolute Pure
  • KIT Playas de Arena
  • KIT First Kiss
  • OPI Pinking of You

First I painted 2 coats of Playas de Arena on each nail (except the studded hot pink one, which is 2 coats of First Kiss). Then I used my big dotting tool to create dots with Pinking of You. After, I used a smaller dotting tool to create the borders on the leopard spots with First Kiss. Lastly, I applied a coat of Absolute Pure and squished some studs onto the nails while they were tacky. Not too tricky, eh?

Acrylic Nails: Leopard Print Gyaru Style Bling Nails

I completely forgot to post these up a few weeks ago when I made them!

Nail Polishes Used:

  • OPI Warm and Fozzie
  • Sation Black
  • SH French White
  • WnW Golden-i

I mostly made these to try out using the golden chains. I love them so much! They look awesome on 3d bling nails, and surprisingly they don’t need a lot of glue to stick on. I just use a lot of clear polish to stick them on, and then another coat on top to seal them.

Available on my etsy shop, Cuteberry Boutique (new name and banner/logo!).

Acrylic Nails: Black and Gold Cross Nail Art

Nail Polishes Used:

  • Essie Gold as it Gets
  • Etude House Golden Bell
  • Etude House Jelly Pop Top Coat
  • SH Golden-i
  • Sation Black

Hello everyone! Just a quick post for today to show off an acrylic nail set I made. First, I painted all the nails solid black. I then used Golden-i with Golden Bell to create a spangly, sparkly gold finish on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th nails. I used tape to get the black cross on the 3rd nail.  Then, I applied Jelly Pop and glue to stick the beads and studs on.

Like all of my acrylic nails, you can get these on my etsy store.

Take care and thanks for stopping by!
